Job Description
We are looking for skilled and dedicated personnel to support our engineering labs and workshops. The role involves assisting faculty, maintaining lab equipment, guiding students in practical sessions, and ensuring a safe and effective learning environment.
Required Skills
Proficiency in handling engineering lab instruments, machinery, and workshop equipment
Ability to assist in practical demonstrations, experiments, and student projects
Knowledge of safety standards and maintenance protocols
Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills
Ability to troubleshoot and maintain lab/workshop setups
Key Responsibilities
Assist faculty in conducting practical sessions and lab experiments
Maintain lab/workshop equipment and ensure a safe working environment
Guide and supervise students during lab sessions and project work
Prepare lab materials, manuals, and reports
Support departmental research, testing, and innovation initiatives
Ensure compliance with safety and institutional standards in labs and workshops
Basic Qualifications
Lab Assistant / Instructor / Foreman
Qualifications: ITI / Diploma / BSc / BE in relevant engineering disciplines
Experience as per AICTE / Affiliating University / UGC / Government of Maharashtra norms preferred
Hands-on experience in lab operations, workshop tools, and equipment maintenance
Preferred Qualifications
Higher technical qualification in the relevant field (Diploma / BSc / BE / MTech)
Prior experience in educational institutions or technical training centers
Certification in specialized lab equipment handling, CNC machines, CAD/CAM, or other relevant technical tools
Knowledge of modern workshop technologies, automation, and safety standards
Ability to assist in research projects, prototype development, or departmental innovations
Strong computer skills for maintaining lab records, reports, and digital lab tools
